Refund Policy
Effective 2 August 2026 · Last updated 2 August 2026
The short version
- 30 days from purchase, no questions asked, on licenses and renewals alike.
- Email support@snap-line.app, or reply to the receipt Paddle sent you.
- The money goes back the way it came, typically within 5 to 10 business days.
- You don't have to justify it. "Not for me" is a complete reason.
1. The window
Every Snapline purchase can be refunded in full within 30 days, for any reason or none. That covers first licenses and renewals, and it applies whether or not you activated the key or used the app.
Snapline is free to download and run before you buy — capture is the only thing a license unlocks — so you can try the app for as long as you like first. The refund window exists for the cases trying it does not catch.
2. How to ask
Either route works, and neither needs a form:
- Email support@snap-line.app from the address you bought with, or tell us that address.
- Reply to the receipt Paddle emailed you at the time of purchase.
Include the order or transaction number from the receipt if you have it. Without it we can still find the purchase from your email address, it just takes a message longer.
You do not have to explain yourself. If you would like to say what went wrong we will read it carefully, but the refund does not depend on it.
3. What happens next
Refunds are issued by Paddle.com Market Ltd, the Merchant of Record for the sale, at our instruction. We aim to approve a request within two working days of seeing it. Paddle then returns the money to the original payment method, which typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
The refund is for the full amount you paid, tax included. There is no restocking fee and no partial refund.
4. What happens to your key
A refunded license ends: stop using Snapline for capture and delete the key from the app.
We would rather be straight with you about how this works than imply a mechanism that does not exist. A Snapline key verifies offline against a public key inside the app, which is exactly why activation needs no account and no server — and it means there is no remote switch to disable a refunded key. Honoring the refund is a matter of trust on both sides. We keep ours by refunding without argument.
Your captures are yours regardless. They are ordinary files on your own disk, a refund does not touch them, and history and the editor stay open even when capture is locked.
5. Renewals
A renewal is refundable on the same 30-day terms. When one is refunded, the update window returns to where it was before the renewal: the underlying license is perpetual and is not affected, and versions published inside your original window remain yours.
Nothing renews automatically, so there is no subscription to cancel and no recurring charge to catch late.
6. After 30 days
Past 30 days we are not able to refund as a matter of course. Write to us anyway if something is genuinely wrong — a version that will not run on a supported Mac, a key that never arrived, a purchase made twice by accident. Duplicate purchases are refunded whenever we find them, at any age.
7. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. This policy is more generous than that, and offering it does not reduce it. Consumer protection law where you live applies in full, whatever this page says.
8. Chargebacks
Please ask us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs more, takes longer for you, and gives us no way to help. We have never refused a refund inside the window and do not intend to start.
